A while ago, I was following the Pizzagate news story that unfolded mainly over the web, intrigued and at the same time disgusted by its narrative and implications. It felt kind of weird how it kept surfacing linked to what seemed the most random events, such as the John Podesta emails leak and the failure of the Hillary Clinton campaign, as well as the suicides of musicians Chris Cornell, Chester Bennington and the beginning of the Jerry Epstein scandal which recently led to his mysterious death whilst detained in prison. To add more fuel to the fire, a movie came out starring Joaquin Phoenix intent on saving a young girl from an elitist paedophile ring of rich aristocrats. Overall, a very dark subject indeed and not one I am particularly attracted to.
Nevertheless, I wanted it out. Out of my mind, my subconscious and my system. So I made this print where I used a picture of secret society members and gave them all scary masks to stand as a symbol of the perpetrators of such inhumane acts of violence. At their feet, lie dismembered baby dolls to represent the innocent victims while the background is filled with a nuclear explosion to stand as a metaphorical interpretation of the apt karmic judgment that I wish universal law shall bestow on these criminals. The title for this print has been lifted off the end credits of the Looney Tunes cartoons I grew up watching.
